It can be tricky to identify a leak in your car or garage. The telltale sign is usually an oil spot. But it can be confusing because there are many types of oil, and they're not always easy to identify. Buy automotive engine oil. For example, you might notice an oil spot in your garage or under the car, but it's actually the wrong-spec oil that has leaked out. If the oil isn't performing like it should, engine parts will start rubbing; this causes friction and burns the oil.
