The economy of Elden Ring is...unbalanced? Although it is possible to make a living as a trader in the Lands Between, it is much more lucrative to just kill a lot of people and rummage through their belongings for valuable runes. Even so, it's likely that you'll pick up a few items—perhaps twenty—during your looting spree, and some of those things will prove to be more useful than others.
To get rid of the clutter in your inventory, visit a merchant and sell these Elden Ring items for a few hundred runes at most. In the early game, when nearly everything may kill you instantly, every rune counts. Working hard is required if you want to achieve Elden Lord status.
The Broken Pieces of a Ruin
The ruins of Limgrave are one of the first things you'll see when you enter the Lands Between. The sparkle of small stones on the surface of the strewn wall fragments is enough to enchant even the most jaded traveler. Do they have a mysterious history like so many other in-game objects in Soulsborne games? Just what secrets do these mysterious objects hold?
Unfortunately, not much. Besides being needed in order to create Rainbow Stones, they serve little purpose other than to allude at a temple that fell from the sky in the item description. But if you turn them in to a merchant, you'll get some runes that you might need early on in the game.
Mimetic Grace
From the looks of things, Grace Mimics have a lot of potential. Make your own saving grace that will point you in the right direction? Awesome!
Except that this phony haven of grace doesn't really do anything. Even though it seems to be designed for PvP, you shouldn't rest at it because its putrid beam travels in what seems to be an arbitrary direction and because it's otherwise pretty much useless. Everything you need to know is that Patches sells them. They are humorous trinkets, suitable for no other use except to annoy your pals. Even though you'll only get ten runes for each one, it's preferable to have some cash on hand than to have these taking up space in your warehouse.
The Lowest of the Smithing Stones
Even though you should hoard them at first, by level one or two you'll have a sack full of smithing stones. In addition to being very accessible, these are also very helpful if you want to compare a potential new main weapon to your current one. Enter any cave, and you'll find them practically supine on the floor.
First-level smithing stones can be used to make almost anything, so they're great to pass off if you're trying to get your hands on some runes. Anything named "somber" or "old dragon" should not be passed on. A small quantity of these valuable gems can be found, but they are worth far more than their asking price suggests.
The success of the Beast Blood Elden Ring's crafting mechanism depends on the player's personality. One the one hand, you can make certain things that are quite practical. The fighting system relies heavily on pattern recognition and quick reactions, so you may find yourself ignoring consumables in favor of honing your dodging skills.
This is why Beast Blood is so popular among buyers. It's not hard to get by, but it's not great for making anything, and the things you can make with it aren't exactly user-friendly. Although 50 Elden Ring runes isn't much to work with, it beats carrying around a load of real blood that you won't need.
